I’m really excited and a little bit nervous about moving picking up and moving to a new city for at least the next five years. I still haven’t figured out how I’m going to go about getting a job there, nor do I know exactly when I’m going to leave my current job. The lease for our apartment runs through the end of May so I’ll need to see about extending it for a couple months.
While she was in interviews at all of the other schools, I checked out the surrounding areas for what looked like okay places to live, and where I might be able to find a job. Of course, she decided on the only school that I didn’t take her to so I don’t really have a feel for the place yet. Hopefully we’ll be able to make a visit there in the next few weeks to scope out prospective places to live. If anyone has any knowledge of the area, please share.
One bonus to living there is that we’ll be just a little over an hour from Tall Brian.
My current mindset: Six months from now my life will be almost totally different, and that’s pretty damned cool.

The only thing I know about philly is that it only has 4 half decent ultimate fields. As for jobs I suggest computerjobs.com they are the only website where I found jobs that got back to me. Also I recommend private schools, they never seem to run out of money.

Ursula is about to graduate from Swarthmore College, which is on the far west side (down the R3 light rail line). I know that the area are there is quite nice, but haven’t seen much else other than downtown.
